Excavator Sales Continues to Increase in 2017

Excavator sales volume continues to increase in January 2017, following the increasing trend of 2016. It is reported that China digger sales increases by 50% in January 2017, and Sany digger sales increases by 70%. In December 2016, China digger sales increase 75%, 15% exceeding the expectation. In the whole year of 2016, the industry sold 70320 units of digger, 11354 units more than 2015, which shows the symbol that the industry turns up from the downturn. Excavator Cleaning Ways

Excavator is important construction equipment in many engineering constructions. It is critical to keep the excavator clean, otherwise, the slush may cause damage to the excavator. Then, how to clean the digger excavator in a better way becomes a critical issue.

First, we should prepare some necessary tools before cleaning. The tools include scraper knife, screw driver, watering can, diesel, detergent, duster cloth, rubber gloves, steel wire ball. When the tools are prepared, we can start cleaning the hydraulic excavator. What should be noticed is that the cleaning should be done in steps.

1.       Put the diesel into the watering can and pour to the stain. Scrape and wash the stain again after 10-30 minutes. The steel wire ball can be used to scrape the stain at the second time.

2.       When the diesel is used up, the detergent to clean heavy oil should be used, the detergent of heavy oil has strong power to remove the stain, so test should be made in case of leading the paint falling off. Also, this detergent has strong corrosion, which is bad for skin and nail, so rubber gloves and glasses should be wear.

3.       When the stain is cleaned, washing powder with clean water should be used to wash the excavator surface.

Excavator operator need know dangerous conditions in jobsites

Excavator operators usually work out in the field or construction sites; therefore, cautious investigation on the worksites is crucial to the safety of the excavator operator and to the safe operation. First of all, the operator should check the terrain and ground condition and use the safest operating method, try to avoid traveling or operating the excavator in areas with risk of landslide or falling stones, near cliffs, road shoulders or trenches, because the soft and loosen ground in these areas may not bear the excavator’s weight and vibration, as a result, the machine might sink or tumble down. The ground may become softer after heavy rain, explosion or earthquake. If the excavator has to work on a dam or near a ditch, vibration and machine weight may trigger a landslide, thus protective measures have to be taken prior to operation in order to prevent the excavator from tumbling down or falling over. For instance, to solidify the ground, keep a safe distance away from the ditch and assign a signal man when necessary.

If there are underground water mains, gas lines, cables or high voltage electric wires on the worksite, the large excavator operator must inform and ask related utilities providers to mark the area, and be careful not to cut any lines while digging the ground. When necessary, in order to prevent any unauthorized personnel from entering the construction site, it’s necessary to assign a signal man for the excavator operator and build a fence when operating on a highway. In addition, the operator must be extremely alert when operating on frozen ground as the excavator operation will cause the ambient temperature increase, which may result in soft and slippery ground. When traveling or operating the excavator in shallow water or soft ground, the operator has to check the type and condition of rock bed as well as the depth and water flow in advance.

Maintenance of heavy excavator

The heavy excavator play an important role in the construction machinery industry. It's hardly to complete projects without heavy excavator. So it's important to learn heavy excavator' daily maintenance. Here are some important tips about maintenance of heavy excavator.

When the screws on the slewing bearings and motor become looseness, it is require to glue to thread locking glue to make sure the screws fastness.

There are two kinds of hydraulic oil, one is winter oil, and the other one is summer oil. Winter oil is 32, or 46, and summer oil is 68 or 100 .The hydraulic oil must be anti-wear hydraulic oil. The difference between the summer oil and the winter oil is the oil viscosity. The temperatures in summer are high, so it is better to use high viscosity hydraulic oil. The temperatures in winter are low, so it is better to use low viscosity hydraulic oil.

All grease fittings, slewing bearings must be put engine oils every 10 or 15 days, put engine oils twice every four to eight hours in different angles. Ensure replacement the reducer within the first 520 hours of work, then replacement 2-3 times a year, the engine must be preheated for 10-15 minutes before work.

The heavy excavator must operate for 10-15 minutes in low speed before flameout. Put the arm and bucket vertical to the ground and relief the pressure in the hydraulic system.

Make sure the hydraulic oil must be clean, and use the correct hydraulic oil in different seasons. Make sure the oil-piping smooth and not allow the air entered. Clean the filter element and replace it regularly. It is not allow to content water in the hydraulic oil. Change the hydraulic oil depending on the season.
